cinemalog is an experimental documentary blog. Give it 30 seconds, it picks up — trust me..
Let me know what you think.

Well, it’s almost a month later, but we’re back. And stronger than ever!
The internet was a clever nemesis, a worthy opponent by any estimation.
And so it was that I found myself being throttled, choking near to death, after a decentralized network of data, or, for the more technical-minded among you, the ‘Information Superhighway’ snuck up behind me. But little did it expect me to launch into a FLYING MASTADON attack, immediately severing several of its limbs and rendering it momentarily distracted. This was my chance. I grabbed the Internet by the neck, slammed it headfirst into the pavement, and began kicking. I showed no mercy.
Yes, I beat the internet half-to-death, and lived to tell the tale. I let the internet live for one reason and one reason only: that the world should know who tamed it.
And now it works for me.
That’s right.
Oh boy! My second blog entry. (don’t worry, I’ll stop counting after this one.)
I’m still working on my portfolios. I made three last night, and they’ll be on their way (via. hand delivery) ASAP.

this is an old picture of the tips of my fingers and I’m conveniently holding a previous version of my Pocket Portfolio.
It is so handy. Any time I need to show someone my works - I can. For example: Tonight I’m meeting with somebody in the advertising world (vague, I know, but I don’t know more details yet), and since carrying a 17×14 portfolio can be a bit of a pain in the arse, I just slip this baby in my pocket next to my spare quarters, and magically I’m ready to go.
coming soon: I’ll put the portfolio on-line for all your viewing curiosities.
Just remember -You never notice how bumpy the road is until you’re trying not to spill a fish.

In College, a friend had an assignment to film a beer commercial (as such is the state of American education) and she called upon me to assist.
While waiting for everyone to show up, Zach and I conceived and filmed this:
Which I like better than the planned spot…
experimental ambient peice made while learning how to use a drum machine and synths…
Or, David Lazer stuff…

Cool, huh? Do you find yourself excited about all this coolness, but not sure what to do about it? I have the perfect solution: |

And lastly, a good essay.
Some great videos:
“L’Cha,” (to music by The Chevra), a funny video made by David Lavon with a bunch of Yeshiva guys during Bein Hazmanim (Yeshiva Intersession)
and
“At The Bottom of Everything,” a very very good music video by Cat Solen to a song by Bright Eyes (via apollopony)
Bright Eyes music available via iTunes and Amazon
The Chevra’s music available via Amazon
So it turns out that the whole Great Pointed Archer thing (a supposed campaign to rename Rats) is, in fact the creation of a PR firm, whose product — as correctly guessed by Mr. Anonmyous — seems to be none other than themselves. (Or their services, as it were.)

booya!
And, in the tradition of the great (but evil) Subservient Chicken, the not-so-great WGA has launched its own even-more worthy campaign — Subsurvient Donald.
